On October 5 2016 Etsy retired a much beloved feature called Treasuries. After long searches many Etsian sellers turned to Polyvore, a site that gave them the ability to share their items on all social media while creating fabulous fashion or art sets. Below you can see an example of a treasury I created a long time ago featuring items that I loved from other shops and a Polyvore fashion set that I made for my Etsy shop Vintage Jewelries featuring my earrings.
Unfortunately on April 5 2018, Polyvore was sold to a Canadian Fashion Seller who shutted down the site without any prior notice.
Once again Etsians sellers have to find a way to promote their items on social media . From what I have read alternatives are
and finally
I only tried trendMe cause so far it was the only site that I could upload my items and use them in my sets. Of course it’s no Polyvore. Users can flip flop and duplicate items, add texts and backgrounds but till now lacks quantity of items and frames and most of all the ability of custom cutting and the templates which I found very helpful when I created my sets. Also it lacks a tool like Polyvore Clipper to add your items easily.
Today I made a video tutorial to show you how you can add your items on trendMe. Additional help can be found in FAQ on trendMe
According to my knowledge the sites that I mentioned above are promising that in the near future will add more features like Polyvore did. I will try to check them frequently and inform you.
Hope that the above information helped you.
